As our nation faces many uncertainties around terrorism, natural disasters, and other regional concerns; we all will eventually be faced with the reality of an unexpected emergency. Our Pacific Northwest is faced with its own unique set of issues and challenges. Preparation and Education is key to the safety and security of our cities & communities region wide.

At the Emergency Preparedness Leadership Forum, Tuesday & Wednesday, Nov 1 & 2, you will have an opportunity to explore new and proven methods that facilitate, educate and motivate citizens to be prepared for themselves, their families, their neighbors, their community and their state.

As Faith Leaders in our communities we can and must play a significant role in preparing for and responding to these challenges as they arise.

On Wednesday, Nov 2nd “only” we are featuring a unique Faith Leadership Conference.   With nationally recognized speakers, Dr Jodie Chiricosta and Dr H Norman Wright, our session topics will be focused on the necessity of being a part of the larger “Net that Works” with other faith leaders and faith networks in our city.  You will discover the importance of why it is imperative as leaders to be prepared and how we can be prepared: physically, emotionally and spiritually before during and after an emergency event.

As Faith Leaders, we are called to be prepared and engaged in serving our neighbors and in being the tangible expression of compassion and love in our communities.
